Fairmont State University hosts a Science Showdown every February. Since its inception four years ago, Jefferson High School has brought two teams of four to compete. This unique competition involves students completing four different lab challenges that are unveiled that day and are evaluated on technique, safety, and content.
Jefferson students Noelle Nicodemus, Aven Thorn, Sean Viteri, Andrew Viteri, Tag Smith, Scott Leonard, Levi Young, and Liam Kessel tackled the tasks without question this year. They scored 1st in Chemistry, 2nd in Biology, and 3rd and 4th overall!
