Members of the Jefferson FFA chapter participated in the Winter State FFA Career Development Events at WVU from March 25-27th, 2026. The Veterinary Science team placed first and will compete in the national contest at the National FFA Convention in October. Team members were Hannah Storey, Katherine Selby (2nd place high individual), Taylor Lyne (6th place individual), and Alyssa Coe. The Food Science team placed fourth at the State Career Development Events. Team members included: Cali Raley, Jillian Owens, Ella Carrol, and Abigail Daniel. The Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems team placed ninth with team members Jackson Lloyd, Kayla DuVal, Spencer Gil (9th individual), and Aaron Sanderson, who placed second individually in the competition.
